It gives me great honour to write a testimonial for Mr. Salot whom I have known and worked with since 2005.

I met Mr. Salot when he was the chair of the committee who wrote the first version of IECQ QC 080000 standard, the world’s most recognized hazardous substances process management (HSPM) standard, which SGS is the market leader of on its certification since 2007 till this day. Mr. Salot personally delivered the first QC 080000 auditor training to SGS (consisting of auditors from eight different countries in Asia Pacific) and served as my coach when I delivered my own class subsequently after that. To put this in context, SGS is the world’s leading inspection, testing, and certification body in the world with 140 offices worldwide and 36% global market share in HSPM.

I have also observed Mr. Salot’s training in many occasions over the years in international meetings and certification bodies conferences. Mr. Salot’s trainings are known for containing many real industrial examples and explanations of the intentions of the standard requirements so the audiences would understand the purpose and benefits of the requirements rather than simply “reciting” the requirements like many trainers do. This experience sharing is crucial to risk-based standards such as the new ISO 9001:2015 and QC 080000:2016.

I had the privilege to sit in Mr. Salot’s class and I vouch for any opportunity to sit in another. I am sure anyone who has sat in his class would feel the same.
